Main ve­nu­es of the World Gym­na­est­ra­da are wit­hin 2 km ra­dius and the­re­fo­re wit­hin wal­king dis­tan­ce from each ot­her. Ve­nu­es and city cent­re are also ea­si­ly re­ac­hed with pub­lic trans­por­ta­ti­on from dif­fe­rent parts of Hel­sin­ki. Du­ring the World Gym­na­est­ra­da in Hel­sin­ki all me­dia rep­re­sen­ta­ti­ves who need will re­cei­ve a HSL Tra­vel Card with the Me­dia Card, which al­lows the me­dia to use pub­lic trans­por­ta­ti­on in Hel­sin­ki mu­ni­ci­pa­li­ty. HSL tic­kets are va­lid on all bu­ses, com­mu­ter trains, trams and Met­ro which ope­ra­te in Hel­sin­ki zone. Also the Suo­men­lin­na fer­ry is inc­lu­ded in the HSL Tra­vel Card.

We en­cou­ra­ge me­dia rep­re­sen­ta­ti­ves to walk bet­ween the ve­nu­es. The of­fi­ci­al wal­king rou­tes bet­ween the ve­nu­es will be mar­ked du­ring the event.

Trans­por­ta­ti­on from the Hel­sin­ki-Van­taa Air­port

It is re­com­men­ded for the World Gym­na­est­ra­da me­dia rep­re­sen­ta­ti­ves to use pub­lic trans­por­ta­ti­on when tra­ve­ling from the Hel­sin­ki-Van­taa Air­port to the city cent­re. Bu­ses 615 and 620 of­fer a straight line from the Air­port and the Hel­sin­ki city cent­re. New com­mu­ter train Ring Rail Line ope­ra­tes eve­ry 10 mi­nu­tes and pro­vi­des a rail link bet­ween Hel­sin­ki city cen­ter and Hel­sin­ki-Van­taa Air­port.

World Gym­na­est­ra­da vo­lun­teers will be hel­ping all ar­ri­ving Gym­na­est­ra­da par­ti­ci­pants at the Air­port. The first ones you will be able to see are al­re­a­dy by the bag­ga­ge ca­rou­sel at the bag­ga­ge rec­laim area. Vo­lun­teers will be re­a­dy to help you with any is­sue or qu­es­ti­on you might have. You’ll re­cog­ni­se them from their green WG2015 Vo­lun­teer shirts.

You can find the World Gym­na­est­ra­da info desk at the Air­port. It is lo­ca­ted bet­ween the ar­ri­vals halls 2A and 2B.
