Welcome to Finland

Fin­land is a na­tion that loves sports and phys­i­cal ex­er­cise. We are happy that the World Gym­naestrada event will turn Hel­sinki into a large gym­nas­tics arena in which more than 20,000 ath­letes from 52 coun­tries will dis­play their cul­tures and gym­nas­tic tra­di­tions. I am sure that the event will leave great mem­o­ries in the minds of the par­tic­i­pants and the au­di­ence.

The World Gym­naestrada event is a fes­ti­val of in­ter­na­tional friend­ship, ex­pe­ri­enc­ing and shar­ing things to­gether, and gym­nas­tics. The event has wor­thy goals. We can im­prove ev­ery­body’s well-be­ing through a sense a com­mu­nity, civic ac­tiv­ity and phys­i­cal ex­er­cise.

I would like to thank the or­gan­is­ers and the large group of vol­un­teers for their joint ef­forts in ar­rang­ing the World Gym­naestrada event. I wish the gym­nasts peak per­for­mance and great mo­ments to­gether!
