Let´s Make the Earth Move

Wel­come to Hel­sinki! In terms of the num­ber of in­ter­na­tional par­tic­i­pants, World Gym­naestrada 2015 will be the largest event ever ar­ranged in Fin­land. The Finnish Gym­nas­tics Fed­er­a­tion, the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion and Cul­ture and the City of Hel­sinki have been part­ners from the very be­gin­ning in ar­rang­ing this huge event. The prepa­ra­tions made for the World Gym­naestrada have re­sulted in a whole new part­ner­ship model for or­gan­is­ing ma­jor in­ter­na­tional events.

The work by the ar­rang­ing or­gan­i­sa­tion is re­warded by the fact that we have the chance to host par­tic­i­pants from all over the world. You, the gym­nasts, will bring the world to Hel­sinki, which will turn into an in­ter­na­tional gym­nas­tics arena for dif­fer­ent cul­tures for one week. The city’s in­hab­i­tants and peo­ple vis­it­ing Hel­sinki will also have the chance to en­joy the beauty of gym­nas­tics, as well as other ex­pe­ri­ences and par­tic­i­pa­tion op­por­tu­ni­ties. This will gen­er­ate a unique Gym­naestrada spirit that can only be ex­pe­ri­enced in the Gym­naestrada event it­self.
