4.1. Arrival to the WG2015

On ar­rival to the event, vol­un­teers need to reg­is­ter at Mes­sukeskus Hel­sinki Expo and Con­ven­tion Cen­tre at the Vol­un­teers’ Of­fice on room num­ber 103. Mes­sukeskus Hel­sinki Expo and con­ven­tion cen­tre’s ad­dress is Mes­suaukio 1, 00521 Hel­sinki. The Vol­un­teers’ Of­fice is situeted on the right-hand side, when en­ter­ing the South En­trance of the venue.

The eas­i­est way to reach the Vol­un­teers’ Of­fice is by pub­lic trans­porta­tion, the most con­ve­nient route for you can be found here. It’s dis­cour­aged to travel by car, since there is lim­ited park­ing space around the venue. When trav­el­ling by train, the venue is reached within 500m.

Ob­tain your vol­un­teer pass, the Hel­sinki re­gion travel card as well as your vol­un­teer clothes from Mes­sukeskus Hel­sinki Expo and con­ven­tion cen­tre at the Vol­un­teers’ Of­fice on the fol­low­ing times:

7th July –11th July from 10:00 to 18:00

12th July from 9:00 to 15:00

13th July – 17th July from 9:00 to 18:00

Vol­un­teers shall use their own com­fort­able footwear, as vol­un­teers might have to walk/stand the whole day. We ask you to leave your valu­ables at home. Vol­un­teers get dur­ing their work­ing days a hot lunch and cof­fee/tea. Feel free to bring your own snacks, but keep in mind there will not be a fridge or freezer at the vol­un­teers dis­po­si­tion.
